What we help with

Four things every director under pressure needs to know, in the order the questions usually arrive.

  1. 01

    Options review

Every route open to the company, with who gets paid and in what order, before you sign anything.

We set out trade-on, time to pay, a CVA, administration and liquidation side by side for your company: the cost of each, its timetable, what it does to your contracts and your people, and who earns from it. You leave with the comparison in writing.

  2. 02

    HMRC and time to pay

Arrears, enforcement timetables and a repayment plan HMRC will actually accept.

HMRC is a creditor with rules. We work through the arrears, the enforcement timetable you are on, and build the proposal HMRC's debt management team expects to see, including the cash-flow evidence and the affordability case.

  3. 03

    Personal exposure

Guarantees, the loan account, wrongful trading and disqualification risk, explained for your facts.

What the lender can actually enforce under your guarantee, what an overdrawn director's loan account means if the company fails, where wrongful trading starts, and what gets directors disqualified. Specific to your documents, not the generic leaflet.

  4. 04

    Second opinion

A practitioner has recommended a procedure. We'll tell you whether it is the only one.

Bring the proposal and the engagement letter. We check whether the procedure suits the company or the practitioner, what the fees really are, and whether a route that keeps the business trading has been left off the table.

How it works

  1. Tell us what has arrived

A letter, a call, a figure in the bank. Thirty minutes, confidential, no engagement letter.

  2. We map every route

Trade on, time to pay, CVA, administration, liquidation: each with its cost, its timetable and who profits from it.

  3. You choose, informed

If a formal procedure is right we say so, and introduce practitioners who have never paid us for the referral.
